Gemma (Ilaria Occhini) is an elderly widow of whom Angela (Dorotheea Petre), a young Romanian, takes care. Living together in the same house, the two become good friends. But a tragic events minaces their tranquil lives: Angela’s husband (Vlad Ivanov), still living in Romania, has mysteriously disappeared. Angela wants to leave immediately to look for him but Gemma, with the selfishness typical of the oldies, doesn’t want to let her to go and left alone again. But the two women find a good solution for both: they leave for Romania together. They arrive at the delta of the river Danube, each looking for her own truth.
