Description of Myself

An Assistant Professor of English and Communications at Alvernia College (Reading, PA), Marc DiPaolo was born in Brooklyn, raised in Staten Island, and currently lives in Kutztown, PA.  He has written one book, Emma Adapted: Jane Austen's Heroine from Book to Film, and has contributed chapters to two others: The Amazing Transforming Superhero and A Century of the Marx Brothers.  He co-edits the literature anthology The Conscious Reader and was formerly a reporter for The Staten Island Advance and New Jersey TechNews.  He earned degrees in English from The State University of New York at Geneseo and The College of Staten Island, and has a doctorate in 18th Century British Literature from Drew University.  He co-hosts the BCTV series Cinema Chat with John Nelka, which airs the first wednesday of each month at 9:30 p.m.
